Shell average in size for the group of MITRIDAE it beongs to, solidly build and very slender in shape. Holotype: 11.9 mm in length, 3.8 mm in width. The protoconch is broken off in all three specimens, but 2,5 whorls out of probably 3 whorls remain in the holotype. They are placed a little oblique and are glossy cream brown, slightly globose. The teleoconch has 5 to 6 whorls, the body whorl is very large, almost covering 2/3 of the shell length and the aperture is almost half of the shell length. The whorls are quite straight, not very globose, not very concave towards the siphonal canal. The suture is shallow, hard to detect. The sculpture consists of spiral grooves, more or less deeply incised, irregularly placed, more pronounced in the paratype 2 than in the other shells. All three types have a broad subsutural spiral cord. The aperture is narrow with a slightly crenulate lip. The columellar area has 4 to 5 columellar folds. Siphonal canal narrow. The overall color is a warm orange-brown with a white pattern on the subsutural band and a lighter broad zone just below the periphery. Interior of the aperture of the same color as the outside of the shells.

This solid little MITRID is close to Mitra oliverai Poppe, 2008 and Mitra cuyosae Poppe, 2008. It differs from M. oliverai by the absence of strong spiral ribs all over the shell, the shorter spire and the larger aperture. It differs from M. cuyosae by its more warm brown color, more slender shell and the absence of very strong spiral cords. There is a huge difference in size between the Paratype 2 and the other shells, but we cannot find any conchological differences.
