This is a narrow mitrid with spire slightly shorter than the aperture (illustrated specimen A W/L = 0.28, S/L = 0.41). Sides are convex from the apex to the anterior tip with a slight fasciole bulge. There are about 8 slightly convex spire whorls with the suture between spire whorls fairly prominent due to a narrow convex shoulder. The dorsal notch is prominent. Unmagnified, the shell appears smooth. Spire whorl sculpture consists of four low, slightly convex spiral cords separated by narrow interstices that appear to have spirally elongate pits. Early whorls have the cords much more prominent and convex and axial riblets crossing the cords forming nodes. The aperture is narrow, gradually becoming wider. The outer lip is convex with a convex transition to the anterior canal. The columella is straight with 5 spiral folds that have sloping sides and a concave channel on the posterior. The folds continue across the base of the shell and terminate near the left side of the shell with a rounded callus. The posterior canal is long, narrow, deep and V-shaped with the columellar side callused. The exterior color is cream to tan with a wide band of brown-tan to brown-red on the body whorl and narrow presutural bands on the spire There is a pattern of thin, white, oblique, almost orthogonal lines over the body whorl and spire whorls with the lines occasionally interrupted and spacing irregular. The interior of the aperture is brown as are the colu¬mellar folds in the interior. The intersections of the lines often have a discontinuity giving the appearance of netting.
