Shell small, white, solid, widely umbilicate, rather loosely coiled. Whorls 3 including a protoconch of 1,5 whorls. Spire raised above body whorl. Last portion of body whorl bent slightly downwards. There is a broad, rounded subsutural cord, especially developed over the last half of the body whorl. Sculpture consisting of indistinct, microscopic spiral striae crossed by more prominent irregular growth folds, with strong spirals within the umbilicus. Umbilicus wide becoming regularly narrower, about one-third the diameter of base. Aperture circular, peristome continuous, just detached from parietal wall. Height. 2,5 mm.: diameter. 3,0 mm.

This species seems closest to C. laxa Lowell from which it differs, however in a number of characters. The coiling is looser than it is in that species, the peristome being just detached from the parietal wall, the spire is higher, the spiral sculpture is much finer and the umbilicus is decorated with spirals.
