Recent, West Africa. Fossil from Mio-Pliocene deposits of Europe. The animal lacks metapodial tentacles, head-tentacles are short but eyes are present. The shell is aso appreciably different to Bullia . Egg-capsules contain many eggs and young hatch as pelagic veliger- larvae. The radula differs from Bullia and Buccinanops, especially the lateral teeth which are always bicuspid . Only 4 species of Dorsanum s.lato are known from West Africa.
