Shell conical, broad, rather solid ; spire conic, apex generally eroded, corneous or orange colored ; whorls about 7, a little convex, whitish, painted with oblique flexuose or angular brownish green radiating stripes, nearly the whole surface sometimes suffused with bright green by the erosion of the outer layer; the sculpture consists of inconspicuous incremental striae and very oblique subobsolete folds; base very obsoletely Urate; flat, the middle portion (umbilical tract) excavated, concave, strongly spirally grooved, the sculpture not extending into the aperture nor to the edge of the columella, which is nacreous; aperture very oblique, large, very iridescent and neither Urate nor toothed within; basal lips and columella simple, forming a regular curve; columella with a strong dentiform fold above; parietal wall eroded, green, nearly smooth.
