Description

Notochlamys Cotton 1930. Type species: Chlamys anguineus Finlay 1926.
Radial sculpture of the two valves dissimilar; the primary radials few (six or seven). The genus differs from Equichlamys in having very unequal auricles, and from Mesopeplum in having the surface covered with fine shagreen sculpture and not concentric threads.
Distribution: Australia.
