Description

The small shell is obesely fusiform, the siphonal canal rather wide. Nuclear shell of about two smooth rounded whorls. Subsequent whorls with numerous axial ribs and spiral cords running over them. A low swelling behind the outer lip. Aperture shaped much as in Anachis, the outer lip with a distinct embayment below the suture and (four) internal denticles, the upper one largest. Inner lip adnate above, well detached at the columellar part, where it bears a series of oblong tubercles. Anterior sinus deep, as in Anachis. Type A. hilli.
