Shell very similar to that of rustica in sculpture and in coloration, but more elongate-ovate in its younger stages, and with the apex nearer to the anterior end. Radula: The radula differs from that of rustica in that the four central teeth are not in horizontal alignment, the middle pair being set lower than the outer pair.
