Dentarene rosadoi: Small size shell, less than 1 cm, turbinated, protoconch, tiny, flat, only partially visible for erosion, made up of 1 whorl; 4 convex whorls of telcoconch. Deep canaliculate suture, 5 spiral cords on telcoconch coils: 1 subsutural, 2 periferic and stronger, 2 basal, visible only on the last whorl. Several radial ribs which, crossing with spirals, thicken, forming abapically sunken spines. Present in the interspaces a tiny lamellate radial microsculpture. Aperture circular, smooth, pearly inside, protruding from a thick large varix that has a polygonal look due to the ending of the spiral cords. Wide and deep umbilicus bordered by sharp thick beads; a sharp sinusoidal carina from inside joins it to the base of the mouth. Colour pale ivory-cream, solid.

Dentarene rosadoi: The closest congeneric species seems to be D. sarcina Iredale, 1929. In comparison D. rosadoi n. sp. has many more and much shorter peripheral spines. D. loculosa (Gould. 1959) and D. cycloma (Tomlin, 1918) present some resemblance as well but D. rosadoi n.sp. shows a definitely more slender profile and a deeper suture.
