Size

Height 33 mm, width 18 mm (holotype)

Description

Shell small, solid, consists of 6,5 moderately convex whorls, divided by a deep pressed sutura. The body whorl occupies about 2/3 of the shell height, with convex base. Profile of whorl is convex with concave ground between the sutura and upper card. Sculpture consists of spiral rounded cords, irregular in width and prominence. There are 7-9 cords on the body whorl and 3-4 on the penultimate whorl. Aperture is wide, rounded, white, occupies about 1/3 of the shell height. Inner lip is curved and covered with thin white callus. Siphon is short, wide, slightly curved to the backward. Color of shell is white. Periostracum is yellowish or yellowish-greenish, thin, smooth. Operculum is thin, yellowish-brownish, elongate.

Distribution

Bering Sea, Unalaska Island (type locality of A. eucosmius eucosmius), northern part of the Okhotsk Sea. Rare.
