Description

Shell small, bluish grey, turbinate, tuberculate. Spire acuminate, slightly less than half the length of shell. Whorls sculptured with numerous, concentric ridges crossing the irregular lines of growth. On the body-whorl appear two very prominent nodulose keels almost centrally situated, the nodules being fairly evenly spaced. Interior reddish brown, shining. Aperture ovate; outer lip acute; columella curved, somewhat calloused; operculum thin, horny. Size: 0,5 inch.
Macpherson, J.H. & Gabriel, C.J., 1962. Marine Molluscs of Victoria.

Distribution

Found living gregariously on the surface of rocks at and above high-water mark. Its turbinate shape and strong, evenly spaced tubercles provide features to readily identify the species. Occurs commonly on the New South Wales coast and through the Indo-Pacific region.
