Description

Shell very small, slender, of nine somewhat convex whorls. Carob brown, dull, the apex light. Axial sculpture of straight ribs about equal to their intervals, 18 on the last whorl. Suture well impressed. No sutural fasciole. Very faint traces of spiral striae are visible in places. Parietal wall and columella lightly calloused, the outer edge slightly raised. The short anterior canal is somewhat recurved. Internal axis rather stout, with a rounded sub-basal fold.
Length 7.3 mm., diam. 2.25 mm.

Interchangeable taxa

The fine costation not cut by any groove defining a fasciole is the most prominent character of this little shell. There is variation in the number of ribs, one paratype having four more than the type, another with fewer.
