Description

Shell small, slender fusiform, rather thin, white, with ashy coloured periostracum which is easily flayed. Spire elevated. Protoconch mammillar of about two smooth whorls. Axial ribs present the youngest teleoconch to the body whorl. Subsutural band weak, appears from the third teleoconch whorl and bounded by a groove on its abapical side. Axials range from the groove to the abapical suture. Spiral cords weak, stronger on the axials than in the interspaces. Base ornaments abapically diminishing axials and similarly developed spirals. Besides axial ribs there are very fine thread-like axial striations. Umbilicus not developed. Aperture slender, with rather short and broad but not deep anal notch. Outer lip thin, smooth within, produced in the middle, and the stromboid notch hardly developed. Inner lip smooth, with well developed narrow callus which is not free from the base. Height 13.2 mm and breadth 4.6 mm
