Shell broadly biconical, thin, colour as in E. gabcnsis, yellow, with small white patches on the whorls, and irregularly splotched with chocolate below the sutures. Protoconch comparatively large, two whorls, the nuclear whorl small and oblique, the next large and inflated, sculpture gradually appearing on the second whorl, first as fine spiral threads, and then transverse threads. Mature whorls five, rather short, the body whorl more than half the total length, large and rather inflated. Sculpture, on the periphery a row of large nodules forming the fasciole, about 14 to the whorl, the nodules becoming bifurcate on the earlier whorls. Above the periphery the hollowed channel is occupied by fine spiral threads, above which the subsutural row of threads is small and nearly obsolete. Below the periphery are three subsidiary spiral keels, and between them and to the base fine spiral threads. Transverse sculpture nearly absent, but is visible on the columella as fine threads reaching to the inner margin the aperture. Aperture large and pyriform, broad, the outer margin thin, the sinus on the periphery, broad and rounded, the fasciole well marked, inner margin flexed at about its anterior third, with a broad band of callus reaching to the suture, canal short and broad, Length 19.5 mm., width 9 mm., aperture 9 mm.
