Description

Distribution: Texas; Colombia; Brazil. Size: 16 mm
Description: Color pale brown; shape turreted; sculpture of spiral and axial ribs of equal strength, giving cancellate appearance; first nuclear whorls smooth; last nuclear whorl with cancellate sculpture; aperture U-shaped with outer lip thick and crenulate; siphonal canal abrupt; turrid notch abrupt. Habitat: Sandy bottoms at depths from 40 to 100 m (131 to 330 ft). Remarks: Sculpture on this species is more uniform than others from this genus. See Ode (1991c); Williams (2005).
