The type locality is Port Jackson. The specimen figured is in the Australian Museum and was collected by Hedley from Middle Harbour, Port Jackson, where it is not uncommon on the beaches. Its dimensions are: Length 5.5 mm., width 2 mm., aperture 2.6 mm. This is a very distinctive species, strongly turreted, the axial ribs high and sharp, bent outwards at the periphery, above which they are sharply angled. Spiral sculpture is very weak and hardly visible. The species has also been recorded from Port Stephens.
