First described by Shuto, 1965 as a fossil.
Description in Okutani, 2000:
Shell relatively thin and inflated. Aperture with very weak varix and deep anal sinus. Surface sculptured with slightly curved axial ribs and fine growth lines crossed by fine spiral threads. Light yellowish brown with an irregular white spiral band.
