Description

Ovate, thin, white, rather ventricose, inequilateral, umbos posterior; anterior side rotundate, posterior side obliquely truncate, dorsal margin nearly straight, the umbonal slope angulated; ventral margin convex; sculpture of irregular concentric striae; resilium small; pallial sinus extending beyond the umbos. Length 13 mm., height 9.5 mm., section 5 mm. Type locality: off east Moncoeur Island, Bass Strait, 38-40 fathoms. Fig. 134.
Loc: Beachport to Rottnest, down to 40 fathoms; most abundant at about 20 fathoms. S.A., Tas., Vict.
Remarks: As the shell grows larger it tends to alter in shape, becoming comparatively longer.
