Distribution: Texas; Florida; Yucatan; Brazil; Bahamas. Size: 43 mm.
Description: Color white to yellowish-white with irregular brownish maculations on surface of shell; shape elongate-conic; sculpture of shell with numerous spiral nodulose cords connected by former axial varices; interrupted spirally beaded threads on surface of shell crossed by axial lines, giving a beaded appearance; spire pointed; aperture oval; anal canal narrow; siphonal canal narrow, arched backward. Habitat: Sandy areas among seagrass beds at depths from 0 to 18 m (60 ft). Remarks: Common in shallow water just below the tide line. Adult shells usually lack a protoconch.
