The shell is obesely fusiform, eight whorled. with a marbled pattern of black, yellow and white. Axial sculpture of about 20 rounded ribs about equal to their intervals, and becoming obsolete on the base, and fine, rather sharp incremental striae chiefly visible in the intervals of other sculpture. Spiral sculpture of cords stronger where they cross the ribs. 5 on the penult, 23 on the last whorl. There is a low, wide swelling behind the aperture. The outer lip is excised in a distinct sinus below the suture, and has four tubercles within, the upper one largest. The columellar lip is detached, and has eight short folds or oblong tubercles within. The siphonal sinus is very deep. Siphonal fasciole undifferentiated, slightly convex. This shell is found under rocks between tides with C. pygmaea and C. lentiginosa, but is extremely rare. Anachis tabogaensis Bartsch seems to be related, but the present form has much more numerous spiral cords. Length 8.3 mm., diam. 3.9 mm.
