Shell small, oblong, subfusiform, solid, slightly shining, ashy-white, the lower portion of the whorls grayish-brown ; spire rather long, convex in outline, apex sub-acute; whorls 6-7, convex, slightly constricted beneath the suture, last one contracted at the base and furnished with a stout varix on the right side; longitudinally ribbed, ribs small, slightly oblique, somewhat flexuous, subangular, slightly nodulous next the suture, about 15 on the whorls of the spire ; base spirally ridged and grooved; canal short, rather widely open, truncate ; aperture light-brown, oblong-oval, about one-third the length of the shell; sinus large, rounded ; peristome rather sharp, furnished with a small sinus near the base.
Length 7 mm.
