P. testa subfusiformi, ochracea, anfractibus septem, angulatis, longitudinaliter regulariter costatis, costis transversim liratis, liris infra suturas duabus, ultimo anfractu tribus, nitidé moniliformibus et albotuberculatis, apertura ovata, labro simplici, columella triplicata.
Long. 20 mill. Lat 8 mill. Madagascar.
Though allied to P. hilaris, this little shell is, in several particulars, quite different. The transverse lirae are not so close nor so deeply sulcated between, and the first lirae below the sutures are more irregularly beaded with necklace-like nodules, and the mouth is more ovate.
