Shell large, solid, elongate-fusiform, consists of 7.5-8 stepped moderately flattened whorls, divided by a deep channeled sutura. The body whorl occupies some more than 1/3 of the shell height. There is wide, slightly concave ground between the sutura and first keel. Spiral sculpture consists of raised rounded keels, which are present on the upper part of whorls (2 on the body and penultimate whorls) and 5-6 on the base. Also, usually there are wide raised flattened ground (to 3-5 mm in width) consists of two-three closely spaced ribs on the periphery of whorl between the second and third keels. The ground is covered by a fine spiral striations. Axial sculpture consists of very thin growth lines. Aperture is moderately wide, oval, white, occupies about 1/3 of the shell height. Color of shell is white. Periostracum is thick, closely, greenish-brown or greenish gray. Operculum is moderately large, thick, solid, dark cherry-brownish.
