Description

75mm. Sturdy, lightweight, dull, almost globular with very low spire and strongly recurved siphonal canal, sutures lined by callus deposit. Embryonic whorls smooth, all others with closely spaced spiral threads crossed by similarly spaced, weaker axial threads; parietal callus by upper corner of aperture. Pinkish or pale brown with about 6, paler, spiral zones containing reddish brown blotches; sutures white; aperture glossy, dark violet, glazed white towards edge. Habitat: offshore and beached. Distribution: United Arab Emirates, Oman, Masirah Island.
