Description

Like A. africana which is discussed above, this species is found offshore of western Africa. It can reach a maximum size of 65mm. The color is a uniform light brown and it has up to 12 teleoconch whorls. There are 9 spiral cords and approximately 40 peaked, white costae per whorl giving the surface of the shell a reticulated appearance. There is a strong basal disk and the columella is white.
