This species has been found in the eastern Atlantic off Portugal, the Azores and the Canary Islands. It reaches a maximum size of approximately 12mm and has been found at a depth of 1300-1800m. The 8-plus teleoconch whorls are strongly convex and the sutures are deeply impressed. There are about 12 strong spiral cords per whorl and the costae are very low. An indistinct basal disk is present with a small umbilical chink. The aperture is oval.
