Description

Small, about 8 mm, narrow, angle to spire 15-18 degrees, with 13 convex attached whorls. Flat dull white in color. Axial sculpture features 13 rounded, nodulose costae. Spiral sculpture consists of several ridges which are lower than the axial costae. There is a basal ridge formed by the last of these spiral ridges. 3 1/2 smooth nuclear whorls which are glassy and light brown. This is a deep water, and consequently, rare species found at depths of 85 to over 500 fathoms from off New Jersey south to Cuba.
