Description

15mm. Thin, dull, narrowly high spired, protoconch not seen. Spire whorls have 2-4 strong or weak keels with overriding, fine, oblique lamellae. Base has very fine, crowded, spiral threads crossed by equally fine striae. No umbilicus. Beige sometimes with broad, paler, axial streaks. Syn: Turritella leptomita Melvill & Sykes, 1897. Habitat: in sand offshore. Distribution: North Persian Gulf, Gulf of Oman.
