Description

Epitonium (Nitidiscala) harpa (Jousseaume, 1912) (Fig. 212) Because of the thin low costae, we consider this species to be a Nitidiscala. This polished white species, which ranges from the Red Sea to Aden, reaches a maximum size of about 5mm. It is a fragile species with deep sutures. It has 3 teleoconch whorls, with 10 or more low, thin costae per whorl. The spaces between the costae are smooth. There are about 3.5. protoconch whorls. The aperture is oval and the outer lip is thin.
