Description

Epitonium (Parviscala) andouini (Jousseaume, 1894) (Fig. 219) This distinctive specica rangca from the Red Sea to Aden and Djibouti and reashes a maximum tire of about 6mm It has been found intertidally. It is white, with about 5 teleoconch whorls. There are about 10-13 erect costae per whorl which are not reflected. The costae have a peak about one third of the distance below the suture. There are about 10 spiral lines between the costae. The aperture is almost round. The umbilicus is closed. There are about 2.5-3 protoconch whorls. This spesies appears to be very similar to E. thyraeum Kilhum, 1985
