Description

Acila divaricata (Hinds, 1843) This species resembles other species in general features, but differs from that species in having an indistinct postero-ventral corner, a small size (only 15 mm), and a different geographical distribution; this is the type species of this genus collected from China sea. Distribution: East and South China Seas; Japan Sea. Ecology: Subtropial, Commonly dredged from 70- 160 m deep in muddy and fine sandy bottoms.
