Shell ovate; posterior end slightly longer, bluntly pointed. Sculpture of numerous, minute commarginal lirae becoming obsolete dorsally on both ends, and fine irregular radial striae. Periostracum yellowish, shiny to silky. Length to 10 mm.
This species is similar to the Caribbean T. cytherea (DalL, 1881), and the two merit close comparison.
Off Triangle Island, British Columbia (50.9°N) [RCBM], to San Diego, California (32.7°N) [USNM], and in the Golfo de California, in 457 -4130 m.
