Shell elongate, inflated; anterior end sharply rounded; posterior end longer, straight, set off by a radial undulation, obliquely truncate. Sculpture absent; periostracum brilliantly polished, iridescent. Posterior series of teeth approximately three times number of anterior series. Length to 35 mm. The relationship of this species to M. soror Soot-Ryen, 1957, from western South America merits investigation.
