Description

Limopsis multistriata (Forsskâl in Niebuhr, 1775)
17-30 mm. -> Much flatter than any similar shell. Many narrow radial ribs. Pericostracum of long dense off-white hairs. (25 mm)
Distribution: Common only around Ras Sudr in the Gulf of Suez. Rare in the Gulf of Aqaba. Very rare south of Hurghada.
Notes: Very similar to shells in the family Glycymerididae but has a triangular ligament pit.
