Description

Shell equivalve, very inequilateral, umbos anterior; sculpture concentric and frequently radial in addition; with an amphidetic internal ligament and a central resilium; hinge line arched; teeth few, more or less distinctly V-shaped, and edentulous hiatus in the middle; a number of crenulations on the anterior margin. Distribution: Southern Australia, New Zealand. Type species: Lissarca rubrofusca E. A. Smith 1877.
