Description

Nucula tokyoensis Yokoyama, 1920 Shell small, 6.7 mm in length, 5.2 mm in height, thick, and solid; umbo prominent and acuted; surface ornamented with concentric growth and radial ribs, in- tersected by regular concentric lines, forming a cancellated sculpture; hinge teeth about 18 on the anterior series and 8 on the posterior; interior surface pearly; inner ventral margin crenulated. Distribution: Huanghai Sea (Yellow Sea) (31" - 34" N. 123 124°E) of China; Southern Japan Sea. Ecology: Vertical range from 100-1 350 m.
