Description

Shell elongate-triangular, produced into a rostrum posteriorly; resilifer oblique; hinge line nearly straight, with a series of longitudinal imbricating teeth on each side; pallial sinus small.
Distribution: Australia, New Zealand. Type species: Poroleda lanceolata Hutton 1893.
Remarks: Distinguished by the imbricating teeth and rostrate shell.
