Description

Shell posteriorly truncated, with an edge descending posteriorly from umbo and an indistict beak. Surface somtetimes distinctly concentrically sculptured, sometimes fairly smooth or with weak, somewhat oblique furrows; umbo situated somewhat in front of the center. Hinge-margin well developed, with numerous small teeth. Type Neilo australis.
