Red Sea Pecten Endemic
13-78 mm. RV very tumid. LV nearly flat, but slightly concave—near the umbo it pushes up into the body area. RV usually white, cream, or beige with a few markings in orange-beige or red. LV often plain dark red inside, reddish patterns outside. (57 mm) Distribution: Common, the Gulf of Suez and Great Bitter Lake only.
