Description

Spondylus hystrix Roding, 1798 Synonym Spondylus nicobaricus Schreibers, 1793
16-36 mm. White with small dark purple markings, spines and ribs sharp and fine. Inner margin white or colored. (35 mm)
Distribution: Occasional in South Sinai and the Gulf of Suez, common around offshore reefs from Hurghada to Marsa Alam.
