Description

Shell small, elongate-ovate, thin, a little shining, slightly gaping in front, inflated in the median part; umbones papillate, submedian; anterior half produced, rounded, posterior one a little higher, truncately rounded at the end; under margin faintly convex, almost straight in the middle. Colour white; a very thin yellowish cuticula present. Sculpture consisting of fine lines of growth only. Interior white with smooth and sharp margins; anterior adductor scar elongated with acuminate upper end, posterior one a little lower situated, rounded. Hinge with a single cardinal tooth in each valve, that of the right valve hook-like, the left one broadly triangular. Ligament internal in a long oblique groove.
