Description

As Reniella spongiarum:
Very variable in shape, frequently elongated with nearly parallel sides; radial sculpture, very fine and close, forms on cutting across the close concentric striae, a finely squamose surface; shell pale horn coloured, brownish, or livid brown, sometimes pale towards the umbos and at the sides of the valves. Usually about, length 20 mm., height 48 mm., section 12 mm.
Type locality: Tasmania.
