Description

Electroma alacorvi (Dilhvyn, 1817)
25-43 mm. -> Obliquely ovoid, no dorsal extension. Nearly flat, thin, shiny, very dark
brown shell. No teeth or pits in the hinge. (43 mm)
Distribution:-Very rare, near reefs in Gubal Straits and Gulf of Suez.
Note; The unlined spécimens of Crenatula piaa (see page 182) have a similar exterior
but as members of the Isognomonidae they have numerous ligament pits in the hinge.
