Description

Compressedly convex, cylindrically oblong; umbos terminal; shell white smooth, under a pale yellow highly glossy periostracum; posterior slope divaricately netted with fine purplish lines. Length 30 mm, height 12 mm. Type locality: Twofold Bay, New South Wales. Loc.: Beachport to Gulf St. Vincent, alive, 9-150 fathoms. S.W.A, S.A, Tas, Vict, N.S.W.

Remarks: Tasmanian specimens appear to be similar; those from Western Australia may be a different species.
