Interchangeable taxa

Orbicular in form with central apex, not much protuberant, equivalve and equilateral, valves very convex, sculpture made by fine growth striae and thin radial striae. The internal margin is smooth. The hinge is made by two areas placed at the sides of a ligament little groove, with abt. 12 little teeth per side. This characteristic, as well as other really clear details, make it recognizable from Glycymeris sp. juvenile shells.
