Description

North Island, between Three Kings Islands and Cape Maria van Diemen, 50 fathoms (type). Shell basically as described above. Protoconch large, smooth and almost completely inverted, the umbilicus showing as an apical pit. Adult sculpture of linear-spaced finely gemmulate spiral cords. Base with a very deep but narrow umbilicus. Colour uniformly buff. Height 8.0 mm., width 7.5 mm.
