It was recorded in Strait of Messina (Sicily - Italy) and Capo Passero (Sicily - Italy) and recently also in the Tuscan Archipelago (Italy), (Paolini, SIM News), but it was found in Dalmatia too. It prefers detrital bottoms at high hydrodynamics.
