Description

Shell small in sizes, conic, semitransparent, sharp apex, very wide mouth. On the surface either no ornamentation or microsculpture are present and it is colourless. Straight in outline. Whorls convex enough. Last whorl occupies 2/3 of total height. Suture distinct. False suture is put in evidence by one line dull parallel, a little bit below the true suture. Growth scars, two per whorl, are evident. Protoconch made by 2.5 whorls almost cylindrical, a little bit inclined. Aperture wide, oval in form, narrowed in the upper part and widened in the lower part, where the lip is a little bit expanded. If it is watched in outline, in the upper part of its lip, it can be noted one sinus quite broad. An evident callum is present on columella. Yuvenile specimens are recognizable due to the first whorls inclined compared with the axis and to their mouth particularly large.
