This species has a rather restricted distribution. In the Mediterranean Sea, it has been found off the northwest African coast; and in the Atlantic, it has been found as far south as the Ivory Coast. It reaches a maximum size of about 7mm. It is dull brown with about 12-13 peaked white costae per whorl. The costae are not reflected. Spiral lines can be found in the spaces between the costae. The aperture is round and the suture is narrowly open. The umbilicus is closed. There are 4 protoconch whorls.
