Description

E. pulchellum has been found in the western Mediterranean Sea and off Portugal. It is an offshore species which reaches a maximum size of approximately 15mm. This is a solid species, white, with up to 8-9 teleoconch whorls. There are 20-30 costae per whorl which are erect and somewhat thickened. The costae are not peaked and the spaces between the costae are smooth. The aperture is oval and the outer lip is thickened. The operculum is light brown. It can be separated from E. clathratulum by the thicker, more numerous costae.
